Job summary

Urban Pandit Infrastructure in Pune is seeking a Billing & Purchase Engineer to manage contractor/vendor billing, RA bills, BOQ verification and procurement activities. The role involves coordinating with site teams, handling purchase orders, and ensuring timely material availability and accurate invoicing.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering background (Diploma/B.E./B.Tech) and strong skills in billing, vendor management and Excel, with familiarity in AutoCAD considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficient in construction billing, BOQ and quantity measurement.
• Understanding purchase/procurement processes and vendor management.
• Proficient in MS Excel; AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings, BOQs and specifications.
• Good documentation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify contractor/vendor bills, RA bills, work orders and measurement sheets.
• Check quantities, rates, BOQ items and supporting documents before processing bills.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, vendors and project teams for billing-related requirements.
• Prepare client billing, subcontractor billing and reconciliation statements.
• Monitor project quantities, material consumption and work progress for billing purposes.
• Handle material procurement and purchase activities as per project requirements.
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and negotiate rates, terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders and comparative statements.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding material availability, delivery and quality.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor details, invoices and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with the site team to ensure timely availability of required materials.
• Verify supplier invoices against Purchase Orders, delivery challans and received quantities.
• Track pending purchases, deliveries and payments.
• Maintain proper documentation and MIS reports related to billing and purchase.
• Support the Project Manager/Management in cost control and procurement planning.
