Job summary

Genxhire Services invites an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage on-site billing, BBS preparation, and RA & sub-contractor bills for infrastructure projects in Mumbai. The role requires strong Excel skills, BOQ understanding, and a sharp eye for quantities against drawings and orders.

You'll coordinate with procurement and stores, monitor material consumption, and ensure accurate site stock reconciliation, while supervising quantity verification across civil, architectural and MEP drawings.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering required.
• 8-12 years of experience in site billing/QS roles in construction/infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in reading structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong MS Excel; familiarity with billing/ERP software is a plus.
• Sound understanding of BOQ, work orders, and contract billing terms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and check steel consumption on site.
• Prepare Running Account (RA) bills and get them checked/certified with clients.
• Verify quantities and rates claimed against drawings and work orders.
• Verify scope of work and commercial terms/conditions as per work order.
• Work out shuttering and concrete quantities.
• Prepare masonry and internal/external plaster quantities.
• Compute quantities for site work.
• Prepare and check sub-contractor RA bills, site-wise.
• Prepare sub-contractor (PRW and Non-PRW) abstract sheets and measurement sheets.
• Visit site to verify executed quantities claimed in bills.
• Prepare and maintain Site Stock Report for materials on a regular basis.
• Prepare rate difference bills for materials (steel, RMC) vs. basic rate.
• Track and record Material Inward against Purchase Orders / Work Orders.
• Monitor and control material consumption against theoretical/estimated requirement.
• Reconcile inward, consumption, and closing stock to identify variances and shortages.
• Coordinate with stores and procurement teams for accurate stock and consumption records.
