Job summary

Studio Rhizome is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor & Billing Engineer to handle quantity take-offs, BOQs, and billing for on-site construction. You will supervise site activities and coordinate with planning and procurement to ensure timely material delivery and cost control.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background (B.E./B.Tech or Diploma) with 5–7 years of experience in quantity surveying and billing, proficient in Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP tools, and knowledgeable about IS

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and billing software like MS Project or ERP tools.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction practices and working drawings.
• Familiarity with IS codes, DSR, CPWD SOR and escalation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for all project stages.
• Generate and process client bills, subcontractor bills, and material reconciliation reports.
• Verify subcontractor invoices and ensure timely certification and approvals.
• Conduct rate analysis for labor and materials, and assist in cost estimation and budgeting.
• Supervise site activities during periodic site visits to ensure drawings, quality, and timelines are followed.
• Monitor on-site progress and coordinate with contractors and vendors for smooth execution.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, billing documents, site logs, and photographic documentation.
• Collaborate with planning and procurement teams for timely material delivery and resource planning.
• Assist the Project Manager in reporting, documentation, and overall project coordination.

• Good understanding of measurement techniques and specifications (IS codes), DSR, CPWD SOR and other applicable schedule of Rates and escalations.
