Job summary

Dayforce is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to manage end-to-end statutory and labor law compliance for our customers in India. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure adherence across permanent, contractual, interns, and sales staff.

You will handle PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, maintain compliance registers, file monthly/annual returns, support audits, and coordinate with vendors to ensure CLRA and S&E license compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in statutory compliance and labour law adherence.
• Ability to manage data and documentation with accuracy.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Experience with Excel-based reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, LWF laws, including reports, challans, returns and remittances.
• Prepare and file monthly and annual statutory returns (e.g., Bonus Act, Gratuity, POSH).
• Monitor monthly minimum wages as per state regulations.
• Maintain compliance registers and prepare for audits.
• Oversee vendor compliance and CLRA/S&E license registrations and renewals.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Specialist to manage end-to-end statutory and labor law compliance for our customers. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in statutory compliance, and labor law adherence for a diversified employee base (permanent, contractual, interns, and sales staff).

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory & Labour Law Compliance

• Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, LWF laws – including reports, challans, returns, and remittances.
• Prepare and file monthly and annual statutory returns (e.g., Bonus Act, Gratuity, POSH, NFH, Maternity Act, Equal Remuneration Act, etc.).
• Monitor and validate monthly minimum wages in line with state regulations.
• Maintain compliance registers for S&E Act and prepare for audits.

Managing Audit & Inspection

• Handle internal and external audits related to payroll and compliance.
• Represent the organization during labor inspections and ensure timely closure of notices.
• Maintain monthly/annual compliance trackers and registers.

• Oversee vendor compliance for outsourced workforce and staffing vendors.
• Ensure CLRA and S&E license registration, renewal, and surrender processes are adhered to.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of statutory/labor law compliance (PAN India).
• Familiarity with PF, ESI, PT, LWF regulations and processes.
• Excellent documentation, data management, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle Excel-based reporting/compliance software/tools.
• Good Team Player with leadership qualities will be an added advantage.
