Job summary

AQM Technologies, a Mumbai-based IT services company, seeks an experienced Banking QA Lead to drive functional testing of banking applications. You will translate banking workflows into test cases, mentor junior QA staff, and collaborate with analysts, developers, and operations to ensure smooth project delivery.

The role requires 10+ years in banking testing or 15+ years in banking operations with testing training provided, plus relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech (any stream) OR MSc(IT) / MCA from AICTE-approved university.
• BSc/MSc/BCom/BA with 15+ years of banking experience will be considered.
• CAIIB / JAIIB / DBF from IIBF.

Responsibilities

• Domain expertise in banking operations to support functional testing of applications.
• Collaborate with QA teams to design, review, and validate test cases based on banking workflows.
• Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in banking application functionality.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for banking domain knowledge across projects.
• Mentor and guide junior team members on banking processes and compliance requirements.
• Participate in SIT and UAT cycles for banking applications and integration testing.
• Support production issues, change requests, and enhancements post-go-live.
• Contribute to documentation, process improvements, and knowledge sharing within the QA team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including business analysts, developers, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of testing cycles.

• Certifications:
• CAIIB / JAIIB / DBF from IIBF.

Experience Criteria

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in functional testing of banking applications/systems.
• OR 15+ years of experience in banking operations/domain expertise (testing training will be provided).

Desired Skills

• Strong understanding of core banking processes (retail, corporate, payments, lending, compliance).
• Ability to translate operational workflows into functional test scenarios.
