Job summary

Quotient Consultancy in Bengaluru is seeking a QA Engineer to deliver high-quality, secure software by implementing automated tests and integrating them into the CICD pipeline.

Responsibilities include test strategy development with Engineering and Product teams, end-to-end testing across multiple cycles, and maintaining compliance with banking regulations.

Qualifications

• 2 to 7 years experience performing QA for web-based/service-oriented applications, preferably in Banking and Financial Services Domain.
• Experience in building and executing testing strategy covering functionality, regulations, performance, security, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies with Engineering, Product, and QA leads for test planning.
• Execute end-to-end testing across Integration, System, Smoke, Regression, Automation, Performance and Security.
• Document testing results and benchmarks; maintain metadata for scripts and results.
• Identify, isolate, and track bugs and ensure compliance with bank regulations and policies.
• Automate test cases and integrate them into the DevOps/CICD pipeline.

Job Purpose:

Act as a gatekeeper to deploy applications with high quality, performance, and security.

Execute automated testing for applications.

Implement test automation as part of the CICD/DevOps Pipeline.

Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with Engineering, Product, and QA leads for test strategy & execution.

Understand Quality of Service parameters, including Functional and Non-Functional Requirements.

Capture traceability between Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, Code Artifacts, Test Scenarios, and Test Cases.

Present Quality Metrics for projects and propose strategies to identify and reduce bugs.

Perform end-to-end testing through all cycles: Integration, System, Smoke, Regression, Automation, Performance, Security, and Stress Testing.

Document testing results and benchmarks.

Manage metadata for all Test Scripts and Test Results.

Create and execute test plans, identifying, isolating, and tracking bugs.

Maintain compliance with Bank regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Ensure automation of Test Cases and integration into DevOps/CICD pipeline.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related area.

Key Skills:

Testing Strategy, BFSI Domain, Non-Functional Requirements, Manual and Automation Testing, Team Management.

Knowledge of testing tools and Atlassian products for defect tracking.

Understanding of Modern Technology Stacks.

Ability to prioritize functionalities and bugs for quick rollouts.
