Job summary

HDFC Bank is seeking a QA Engineer to act as a gatekeeper for deploying high-quality, secure, and performant applications in Mumbai. You will drive automated testing and integrate test automation into the CICD/DevOps pipeline.

The role requires 2–7 years of QA experience in banking/financial services, proficiency in QA automation tools, and the ability to work with engineering, product, and QA teams to shape test strategy and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related area.
• 2 to 7 years of experience performing QA for web-based/service-oriented applications, preferably in Banking and Financial Services Domain.
• Experience in building and executing testing strategy covering functionality, regulations, performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Knowledge of testing tools and Atlassian products for defect tracking.
• Ability to prioritize functionalities and bugs for quick rollouts.
• Testing Strategy, BFSI Domain, Non-Functional Requirements, Manual and Automation Testing, Team Management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Engineering, Product, and QA leads for test strategy & execution.
• Understand Quality of Service parameters, including Functional and Non-Functional Requirements.
• Capture traceability between Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, Code Artifacts, Test Scenarios, and Test Cases.
• Present Quality Metrics for projects and propose strategies to identify and reduce bugs.
• Perform end-to-end testing through all cycles: Integration, System, Smoke, Regression, Automation, Performance, Security, and Stress Testing.
• Document testing results and benchmarks.
• Manage metadata for all Test Scripts and Test Results.
• Create and execute test plans, identifying, isolating, and tracking bugs.
• Maintain compliance with Bank regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure automation of Test Cases and integration into DevOps/CICD pipeline.

Job Purpose
