Job summary

Duroflex is seeking a Production Supervisor / Production Associate to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, aiming to hit production targets while maintaining quality and safety on the shop floor.

You will plan manpower deployment, monitor performance, coordinate with Maintenance, QA, Stores, and Planning, and ensure strict adherence to SOPs, 5S, and workplace safety, with hands-on guidance to operators.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• Experience in foam, mattress, furniture, FMCG, or related manufacturing industries will be preferred.
• Production planning and shift management.
• Shop-floor operations and manpower handling.
• Team leadership and operator supervision.
• Quality and process control.
• Machine and production monitoring.
• Problem-solving and decision-making.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, SOPs, and workplace safety.
• Basic proficiency in MS Excel and production MIS
• Good communication and cross-functional coordination

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day production operations and ensure shift-wise production targets are achieved.
• Plan and monitor manpower deployment, attendance, and productivity on the shop floor.
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, and production processes.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Planning teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor machine and equipment performance and promptly report breakdowns and operational issues.
• Maintain daily production records, shift reports, MIS, and other production documentation.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, safety standards, housekeeping, and workplace discipline.
• Train and guide operators on work instructions, safety practices, quality requirements, and process improvements.
• Identify and resolve shop-floor issues to minimize production losses and downtime.
• Support Kaizen, continuous improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Monitor production quality and coordinate with the Quality team for corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper shift handover and communicate production-related issues to the concerned teams.
