Job summary

Drink Prime in Bengaluru is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily production, manage assembly lines, ensure SOPs and quality standards are followed, and drive productivity.

The role requires strong problem solving, Lean practices, and ability to coordinate with quality, stores, maintenance, and engineering to resolve issues and implement continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of production and assembly processes.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and line balancing.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and production MIS.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work on the shop floor and manage operators.
• Strong focus on productivity, quality, and process discipline.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production activities and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Manage and monitor assembly and production line operations.
• Ensure operators follow defined SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Track Plan vs. Actual production and identify gaps.
• Monitor cycle time, productivity, downtime, rejection, and rework.
• Coordinate with Quality, Stores, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve production issues.
• Identify production line bottlenecks and support corrective actions.
• Ensure proper manpower allocation and utilization.
• Monitor material availability on the production line and coordinate with Stores for shortages.
• Maintain daily production reports and MIS.
• Support the implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in line balancing and process improvement to improve productivity.
• Monitor safety practices and ensure safe working conditions on the shop floor.
• Support new product/process introductions and process trials.
• Investigate recurring production issues and support root-cause analysis.
• Ensure proper handling of finished goods, WIP, rejected, and rework units.
• Support refurbishment and rework activities, wherever applicable.
• Coordinate with supervisors and operators to ensure smooth shift operations.
