Job summary

Bigbasket is seeking a recruitment lead to manage end-to-end hiring for blue-collar roles in Bengaluru. You will source candidates locally, coordinate with vendors, and drive mass hiring initiatives to meet operations needs.

You will conduct field visits, build a strong pipeline, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and ensure joining formalities are completed smoothly. This role emphasizes local market sourcing and joining conversion.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for Pickers, Packers, Loaders, Helpers and other blue-collar positions.
• Conduct regular field visits to identify and source candidates from local markets.
• Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline through walk-ins, local sourcing, referrals, job camps and other channels.
• Coordinate with local recruitment vendors/consultants for candidate sourcing and mobilization.
• Take support from vendors to achieve daily/weekly/monthly hiring targets.
• Screen candidates based on job requirements, availability, location and salary expectations.
• Conduct or coordinate interviews, document verification and joining formalities.
• Track candidates from sourcing to joining and ensure maximum joining conversion.
• Maintain daily recruitment reports covering sourcing, interviews, selections, joining and attrition.
• Work closely with Operations/HR teams to understand manpower requirements and hiring priorities.
• Support mass hiring drives and recruitment campaigns at different locations.
• Develop relationships with local manpower suppliers, contractors, community contacts and other sourcing partners.
• Ensure candidates receive proper information regarding job role, working hours, salary, location and company policies.
• Follow up with selected candidates to ensure they report on the joining date.
