Hiring Tag is seeking an Associate Director / Senior Manager to lead Business Development in the credit rating and financial services space across Bangalore, Chennai, and Delhi. The role requires 10+ years of BD experience and a proven track record of delivering revenue targets.

You will mentor a team of BD managers, manage client onboarding, prepare proposals, and own the sales pipeline, CRM, and regional MIS. Strong CXO relationships and negotiation skills are essential.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Drive business development and achieve revenue targets in nearby regions.
• Lead and mentor a team of Business Development Managers to acquire new corporate clients requiring credit rating services.
• Manage the complete client onboarding process and coordinate documentation.
• Prepare presentations, proposals, commercial offers, and pitch decks for large corporate and CXO-level clients.
• Own the sales pipeline, CRM, MIS reports, and client database for the region.
• Conduct market research on industries, companies, and competitors to identify new business segments.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, and industry bodies.
• Attend client meetings, industry events, and represent company at key forums.
• Keep abreast of financial markets, credit risk, and regulatory developments (SEBI/RBI).

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Business Development experience, preferably in a Credit Rating Agency as well as Banking or NBFC.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring a sales/BD team.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Credit rating products (Bank Loan Rating, NCD, Commercial Paper, SME Ratings)
  • Financial statements and cash flow analysis
  • Banking and financial markets
  • Corporate lending ecosystem
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and CXO-level relationship management skills.
• Strong presentation, proposal-writing, and commercial negotiation abilities.
• Good analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Self-driven with a consistent track record of achieving/exceeding revenue targets.
