Job summary

Manorama Industries is seeking an Assistant Manager Sustainability to lead and support ESG initiatives, reporting, and environmental programs across the value chain.

You will drive sustainable sourcing, data accuracy for reporting, and coordination with multiple functions and external partners to meet regulatory and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in sustainability reporting, data collection and analytics.
• Knowledge of ESG frameworks (GRI, CDP, BRSR) is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and drive sustainability agenda through ESG initiatives and monitoring.
• Coordinate sustainable supply-chain practices, responsible sourcing and traceability across key materials.
• Validate ESG data and assist in preparing sustainability reports and customer requirements.
• Support carbon footprint measurement, resource efficiency and environmental projects.
• Coordinate certifications, audits and corrective actions across programs.
• Engage with procurement, operations, HR, QA and partners to raise sustainability awareness.

Job description

Assistant Manager Sustainability will be responsible for supporting and driving Manoramas sustainability agenda through effective implementation and monitoring of ESG initiatives, sustainable supply-chain practices, responsible sourcing, sustainability reporting, certifications and environmental and social programmes. The role requires strong cross-functional coordination, project management, data analysis and stakeholder management to support the organisations sustainability goals.

1. Sustainable Supply Chain & Responsible Sourcing Support responsible sourcing, sustainable procurement, supply-chain sustainability and traceability initiatives across key raw materials.
2. ESG Data & Reporting Validate and manage ESG data and support preparation of BRSR, GRI, CDP, Sustainability Reports and customer ESG requirements.
3. Climate & Environmental Sustainability Support carbon footprint measurement, carbon reduction initiatives, biodiversity, afforestation, resource efficiency and other environmental projects.
4. Certifications, Audits & Assessments Coordinate sustainability certifications, audits and assessments. Track corrective actions and ensure timely closure of identified gaps.
5. Social Sustainability & Human Rights Support human rights, social compliance, community engagement and responsible sourcing programmes across the value chain.
6. Regulatory & Customer Requirements Monitor relevant sustainability requirements and support compliance with applicable regulations, customer expectations and sustainability standards.
7. Stakeholder Management & Awareness Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, HR, QA, R&D and other functions, as well as external partners, auditors and consultants. Support sustainability awareness initiatives.
