Job summary

Hector And Streak Consulting is seeking a senior ESG leader in Mumbai to shape and drive sustainability strategy, governance, and reporting across the organization. You will lead cross-functional teams to embed ESG into core operations and coordinate disclosures to meet global standards.

The role requires 10–15+ years in sustainability with at least 5+ years in leadership of ESG functions, strong stakeholder engagement, and a track record in awards and recognitions related to ESG performance.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of experience in sustainability/ESG leadership.
• Minimum 5+ years leading ESG functions.
• Experience in ESG disclosures, sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement, and awards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s sustainability and ESG roadmap aligned with business strategy.
• Lead initiatives across environmental, social, and governance pillars.
• Establish goals, KPIs, policies, and governance for sustainability.
• Drive integration of sustainability into operations and decisions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to embed sustainability across functions.
• Lead ESG disclosures and sustainability reporting in line with major frameworks.
• Coordinate ESG audits, assessments and assurance activities.
• Drive CSR alignment and social impact initiatives.

Experience in managing ESG disclosures, sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement and awards is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Sustainability Strategy & Governance

• Develop and execute the organization's sustainability and ESG roadmap aligned with business strategy.
• Lead sustainability initiatives across environmental, social, and governance pillars.
• Establish sustainability goals, KPIs, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Drive integration of sustainability principles into business operations and decision-making.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to embed sustainability across functions.

ESG Reporting & Compliance

• Lead preparation of ESG disclosures and sustainability reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ESG frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Drive reporting aligned with BRSR, GRI, SASB, TCFD, UNGC, CDP, and other relevant standards.
• Coordinate ESG audits, assessments, and assurance activities.

Sustainability Programs

• Design and implement initiatives focused on:
• Carbon footprint reduction
• Net-zero and decarbonization strategies
• Waste management
• Circular economy initiatives
• Water conservation
• Renewable energy adoption
• Sustainable procurement

• Partner with HR, Operations, Procurement, Risk, Legal, Communications, and CSR teams.
• Drive internal awareness campaigns and employee engagement programs.

Data Analytics & Impact Measurement

• Establish ESG and sustainability dashboards.
• Track and monitor organization-wide sustainability metrics.
• Analyze risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
• Present sustainability insights and recommendations to leadership.

CSR & Social Impact

• Align CSR initiatives with sustainability objectives.
• Measure social impact outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with CSR regulations and reporting requirements.
