Job summary

Tube Investments of India Limited (TII) in Hyderabad is seeking a sales professional to develop and execute strategies for Gears & Pinions in the Railways segment, build and maintain relationships with Indian Railways, production units, workshops and OEMs, and identify new business opportunities.

The role focuses on RFQ generation, timely On-Time Delivery, receivables management, new customer development, and converting quotations into purchase orders while achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for Gears & Pinions (G&P) in the Railways segment.
• Manage relationships with Indian Railways, railway production units, workshops, and related OEMs.
• Identify new business opportunities and generate enquiries, RFQs, and orders.
• Generate and follow up on RFQs from existing and prospective customers.
• Ensure timely delivery of products to customers and achieve targeted OTD levels.
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and maintain OD at NIL.
• Identify, develop, and onboard new customers in Railways to expand the base.
• Prepare and submit quotations and convert enquiries into PO.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and understand future requirements.
• Drive sales targets and achieve RFQ, order-conversion, and collection goals.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for Gears & Pinions (G&P) in the Railways segment.
• Manage relationships with Indian Railways, railway production units, workshops, and related OEMs.
• Identify new business opportunities and generate enquiries, RFQs, and orders
• RFQ Generation: Generate and follow up on RFQs from existing and prospective customers based on market requirements.
• On-Time Delivery (OTD): Ensure timely delivery of products to customers as per committed schedules and achieve targeted OTD levels.
• Collection & Receivables: Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and maintain OD (Overdue) at NIL.
• New Customer Development: Identify, develop, and onboard new customers in the Railways segment to expand the customer base.
• Quotation to Order Conversion: Prepare and submit competitive technical/commercial quotations, follow up with customers, and convert enquiries into Purchase Orders (POs).
• Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and understand their current and future requirements.
• Sales Target Achievement: Drive business growth and achieve assigned sales, RFQ, order-conversion, and collection targets.
