Job summary

Golden Opportunities in Gurgaon is seeking a Hands-on Press Shop Production lead with 3–6 years of shop-floor and manpower management experience. Independently manage day-to-day Press Shop operations.

You will oversee up to 100 personnel, plan daily production, drive productivity, ensure 5S/Kaizen and safety, and coordinate with Quality, Maintenance and Planning teams. Work from office.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Production Engineering is required.
• 3–6 years of hands-on press shop experience in a manufacturing setup.
• Experience in manpower management up to 100 personnel and shift planning.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage day-to-day Press Shop operations and shop-floor activities.
• Handle manpower management and workforce allocation for up to 100 personnel.
• Plan and monitor daily production to meet targets, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Drive productivity improvements and optimize manpower, machines and resources.
• Ensure 5S, Kaizen, safety practices and compliance for production systems.
• Prepare for IATF and VSA audits and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning and other teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain production records using Google Drive/Sheets for reporting.

Job Description

• Independently manage day-to-day Press Shop operations, ensuring smooth and efficient shop-floor activities.
• Handle and manage manpower of up to 100 personnel, including workforce allocation, productivity and performance monitoring.
• Plan and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets, quality requirements and delivery schedules.
• Drive productivity improvement initiatives and optimize manpower, machines and resources for efficient production.
• Monitor shop-floor quality and ensure adherence to defined quality standards and production processes.
• Ensure effective implementation of 5S, Kaizen, safety practices and production systems across the Press Shop.
• Maintain strong focus on workplace safety and ensure compliance with applicable safety procedures.
• Independently handle and support IATF and VSA audits, including preparation of required documentation and implementation of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning and other cross-functional teams to resolve shop-floor issues.
• Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure customer‑specific requirements are understood and consistently maintained on the shop floor.
• Maintain production‑related records and utilize Google Drive and Google Sheets for reporting, tracking and documentation.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills in managing day‑to‑day production challenges.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with Tier‑1 / Tier‑2 automotive suppliers serving MSIL / TML.
