Job summary

Mekr Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Production Manager to plan and manage production operations, ensuring timely delivery, quality and productivity targets. You will drive efficient use of manpower and resources across multiple departments and implement Lean initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of production processes, and experience with ERP and Excel. This position is based in Kundli, Haryana and is full-time.

Qualifications

• Must have strong production planning and shop-floor management experience.
• Proven leadership to manage production teams and coordinate cross-functional departments.
• Solid understanding of assembly, quality control, inventory and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily production to meet targets and delivery schedules.
• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing processes and coordinate with Procurement, Quality, R&D, Stores and Dispatch.
• Monitor productivity, machine utilization, manpower efficiency, and costs; minimize waste and downtime.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement while upholding safety and quality.
• Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Lead training of production teams and ensure maintenance of machinery and equipment.

Role Overview

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning and managing production operations, ensuring timely delivery, quality, productivity, and efficient utilization of manpower and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve targets and meet delivery schedules.
• Manage end-to-end manufacturing processes and coordinate with Procurement, Quality, R&D, Stores, and Dispatch.
• Monitor productivity, machine utilization, manpower efficiency, and production costs while minimizing wastage and downtime.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to improve efficiency and output.
• Lead production teams, conduct training, monitor performance, and ensure proper maintenance of machinery and equipment.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong production planning and production management skills with hands-on shop-floor experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to manage production teams effectively.
• Good understanding of assembly line operations, quality control, inventory management, and production processes.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict production deadlines, and drive continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of ERP software and Microsoft Excel.

Good-to-Have Skills & Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering with relevant manufacturing experience will also be considered.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, ISO quality standards, and production documentation.
• Experience in assembly-based manufacturing, consumer appliances, electrical/electronics, or automotive accessories.
• Technical knowledge of machinery, manufacturing processes, and preventive maintenance will be an added advantage.
