Job summary

Bright Tech Automation seeks an experienced shop-floor production manager to oversee daily to monthly production activities. You will allocate manpower, monitor fabrication and assembly, and ensure optimal use of resources while tracking progress and enforcing safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines. You will coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Electrical, and Project teams to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in shop-floor, production, or manufacturing management.
• Preferred experience of 710 years in industrial automation, SPM manufacturing, machine building, fixtures, assembly lines, or automotive automation.
• Strong experience in manpower handling and production planning.
• Understanding of mechanical drawings, fabrication and welding, VMC / machining, drilling and tapping, mechanical assembly, pneumatics, basic electrical and automation coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly shop-floor production activities.
• Handle and allocate manpower as per project priorities.
• Monitor fabrication, welding, machining, drilling, tapping, mechanical assembly, pneumatic assembly, and other manufacturing activities.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and shop-floor resources.
• Track project-wise manufacturing progress against committed timelines.
• Identify delays and take corrective action to achieve project targets.
• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Stores, Electrical, Automation, and Project teams.
• Ensure material availability as per the manufacturing plan.
• Monitor work quality and reduce rework.
• Conduct daily shop-floor meetings and review work progress.
• Maintain daily production and project status reports.
• Ensure shop-floor discipline, safety, housekeeping, and PPE compliance.
• Support machine trials, FAT, and pre-dispatch readiness.
• Develop and guide supervisors, technicians, welders, fitters, and other shop-floor employees.
