Job summary

Aditya Birla Education Trust is seeking a facilities professional to manage and support MEP systems across the campus. The role assists in operation, maintenance, inspections, and energy conservation while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will coordinate with vendors, train junior staff, and act as a liaison between the Administration manager and operations teams to maintain a smooth facility environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, fire safety, plumbing, carpentry and other building systems.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure systems are operating efficiently and in safety standards.
• Support troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of MEP equipment.
• Monitor energy usage and suggest strategies for energy conservation.
• Support facility management programs including cleaning, security, landscaping, pest control and waste management.
• Ensure all areas of the facility, cafeteria and washrooms are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Monitor vendor performance for facility services.
• Assist with planning and execution of MEP and facility-related projects.
• Identify and mitigate risks; develop safety protocols.
• Maintain maintenance schedules, repair logs, and inventory; generate reports.
• Provide support to technicians and junior staff; train staff on MEP systems.
• Act as liaison between Administration manager and Operational teams.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with stakeholders during crises (water leaks, fire alarms, power failures).
• Collaborate with vendors and external contractors; fluent communication is required.

Job description

The scope will includes but not limited to the following:

1. Maintenance and Operations

Assist in the operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical ( Lt Panels, meter room and bus bar room ), fire safety, plumbing, carpentry and other building systems.

Perform routine inspections to ensure systems are operating efficiently and comply with safety standards.

Support troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of MEP equipment.

Monitor energy usage and suggest strategies for energy conservation.

2. Facility Management

Support the implementation of facility management programs, including cleaning, security, landscaping, pest control and scrap / waste management.

Ensure all areas of the facility, cafeteria and washrooms are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Ensuring all Housekeeping staff duties are efficiently allocated and managed.

Monitoring vendor performance for facility services.

3. Project Coordination

Assist with planning and execution of MEP and facility-related projects.

Follow Ups with contractors and vendors for repairs, upgrades, and installations.

4. Health and Safety Compliance

Identify and mitigate risks associated with facility and MEP systems.

Assist in the development of safety protocols.

5. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repair logs, and inventory.

Generate reports on system performance and facility operations.

Provide input for budget planning.

6. Team Support and Training

Provide support to technicians and junior staff as needed.

Assist in training staff on MEP systems and facility procedures.

Act as a liaison between the Administration manager and Operational teams.

7. Emergency Response

Respond to emergency breakdowns and facilitate swift action to restore operations.

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders during crises, such as water leaks, Fire Alarms, Power failures, damages or breakages.

8. Communication and Coordination

Collaborate with vendors, and external contractors.
