About the Role

We are looking for a results-driven Assistant Manager – Last-Mile Delivery Operations to manage and optimize our e-commerce delivery operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring courier partner performance, improving delivery success rates, reducing Return to Origin (RTO), resolving Non-Delivery Reports (NDR), and ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.

The candidate should have strong analytical skills, hands‑on experience with e-commerce logistics platforms, and expertise in Excel-based reporting and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

1. Last-Mile Delivery Operations

• Manage end-to-end last-mile delivery operations and ensure timely shipment delivery.
• Coordinate with courier partners to maintain service quality and operational efficiency.
• Monitor shipment movement, pending deliveries, delivery failures, and shipment exceptions.
• Ensure adherence to agreed turnaround times (TAT) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

2. NDR and RTO Management

• Monitor and drive timely resolution of Non-Delivery Reports (NDR).
• Identify the root causes of delivery failures and implement corrective measures.
• Develop strategies to reduce avoidable Return to Origin (RTO) shipments.
• Monitor Cash on Delivery (COD) shipments and coordinate with courier partners for delivery-related issues.

3. Courier Partner Performance Management

• Track and evaluate courier-wise delivery performance and service levels.
• Analyze delivery success rates across states, cities, and pincodes.
• Identify underperforming courier partners and recommend improvement measures.
• Optimize courier allocation based on serviceability, delivery performance, and logistics costs.

4. MIS Reporting and Data Analysis

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational MIS reports.
• Track key performance indicators, including delivery TAT, first-attempt delivery rate, NDR resolution, RTO percentage, and pending shipments.
• Use Excel to analyze operational data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
• Present performance reports and recommend data-driven process improvements.

5. Stakeholder Coordination and Process Improvement

• Coordinate with internal teams, including Customer Support, Warehouse, and E-commerce Operations.
• Handle delivery-related escalations and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements.
• Monitor logistics costs and work towards improving delivery efficiency without compromising customer experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in e-commerce logistics, courier operations, or last-mile delivery management.
• Strong understanding of NDR, RTO, COD, shipment tracking, and courier partner operations.
• Hands‑on knowledge of ClickPost and Vinculum.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and MIS reporting.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Experience in courier performance analysis and logistics cost optimization.
• Excellent coordination, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
