Job summary

Group Bayport in Gandhinagar, Gujarat is seeking an experienced EXIM professional for end-to-end Export, Import and Cross-Trade operations. You will ensure timely shipment execution, accurate documentation, customs compliance and cost control across domestic and international business operations.

The role demands hands-on management of sea/air shipments, involvement with CHA, freight forwarders and overseas agents, and collaboration with multiple internal teams to deliver smooth shipment

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in both Export AND Import operations.
• Experience in Third-Country / Cross-Trade / Merchanting Trade.
• Experience in Sea Freight and preferably Air Freight.
• Knowledge of Shipping Bill, Bill of Entry, BL/AWB, COO, Invoice, Packing List and customs documentation.
• Working knowledge of SEZ/DTA operations and customs procedures.
• Knowledge of HS classification, valuation, Incoterms 2020, DGFT and FEMA requirements.
• Experience managing freight forwarders, CHA and overseas agents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly professional email correspondence.
• Strong stakeholder-management and coordination skills.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel/MIS.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Export & Import operations from shipment booking to delivery and documentation closure.
• Handle Sea & Air shipments, including FCL/LCL operations and coordination with freight forwarders, CHA and overseas agents.
• Prepare, verify and maintain commercial and shipping documentation (Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, Bill of Lading/AWB, COO, Insurance).
• Coordinate with CHA/customs for classification, valuation, customs filing, examination and shipment clearance.
• Manage Import of raw materials, consumables, spares and capital goods for SEZ/DTA operations.
• Handle Third-Country / Cross-Trade shipments, including switch BL, third-party invoicing, origin documentation.
• Ensure correct application of HSN/HS classification, Incoterms and EXIM regulations.
• Monitor demurrage, detention and free-time, taking proactive action to avoid costs.
• Manage and evaluate freight forwarders, CHA and overseas agents against service levels and terms.
• Verify freight/CHA/agent invoices and coordinate with Finance for settlement.
• Maintain live shipment tracker and MIS/reporting on status, freight cost, demurrage/detention, claims and chargebacks.
• Ensure FEMA, DGFT, SEZ and customs compliance.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Finance, Customer Experience and overseas teams for smooth shipment execution.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced EXIM professional to independently manage end-to-end Export, Import and Cross-Trade operations, ensuring timely shipment execution, documentation accuracy, customs compliance and cost control across domestic and international business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Export & Import operations from shipment booking to delivery and documentation closure.
• Handle Sea & Air shipments, including FCL/LCL operations and coordination with freight forwarders, CHA and overseas agents.

Mandatory Candidate Requirements

Candidates Must Have
