Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

This position will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering and bidding process for EPC projects in the Power Cables business. The role involves identifying and evaluating tenders, coordinating bid strategies, preparing and reviewing technical and commercial submissions, managing vendor quotations, and ensuring strict adherence to tender conditions and timelines. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to develop competitive bids, optimize costs, ensure compliance, and improve bid success rates in alignment with organizational objectives.

Role & responsibilities

Key Result Areas:

• Identify and track HV/EHV underground cable tenders (66 kV to 400 kV) from utilities and various tender portals.
• Circulate tender details to internal stakeholders for go/no-go decisions and bid planning.
• Manage end-to-end tendering activities, including scope review, bid evaluation, and preparation of technical, commercial, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor NITs, corrigenda, amendments, and pre-bid clarifications to ensure alignment with tender requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams for timely receipt of quotations and critical inputs.
• Prepare comparative for vendor quotations for techno-commercial compliance and cost competitiveness.
• Ensure adherence to tender conditions, contractual terms, and submission timelines.
• Maintain and update tender trackers with key dates, scope details, cost summaries, and submission status.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong understanding of end-to-end tendering and bidding processes for EPC projects, including identification, evaluation, and submission of tenders.
• Proven expertise in preparation and review of technical, commercial, and compliance submissions in line with tender documents (NITs, RFPs, RFQs).
• In-depth knowledge of HV/EHV Power Cable projects, EPC scope structuring, BOQs, specifications, and execution-related cost elements.
• Experience in vendor and subcontractor coordination, including floating RFQs, obtaining quotations, and evaluating techno-commercial compliance.
• Capability to prepare vendor comparison statements, cost sheets, and price break-ups to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
• Strong understanding of tender conditions, contractual clauses, payment terms, LDs, BGs, warranties, and risk allocation.
• Familiarity with corrigenda management, pre-bid clarifications, and deviation handling to ensure full tender compliance.
• Ability to perform cost estimation and pricing analysis, including assessment of supply, installation, logistics, taxes, and risk provisions.
