Qualifications

• Bachelors in SCM, Business Admin, Engineering or related field.
• MBA preferred for advanced procurement leadership.
• 10+ years of procurement experience in cable, conductor or metal industries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end procurement for EPC projects and power cables.
• Lead vendor selection, RFIs, RFPs and bid evaluations.
• Negotiate contracts and drive favorable terms with suppliers.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet scope, time and budget.
• Develop supplier performance criteria and conduct reviews.
• Ensure SAP Hana procurement processes and reports are accurate.
• Plan procurement activities aligned with SOA guidelines.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.

Position Title

SCM for EPC Projects (Power Cables)

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations of the EPC projects for Power Cables Business, ensuring seamless procurement planning, inventory management, Supply & Service partner development and customer delivery. The role involves optimizing resources, reducing costs, improving supply chain efficiency, ensuring OTIF deliveries and alignment with organizational goals.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Selection of bidding process, preparation of vendor selection approach and vendor evaluation criteria depending on the nature of the category.
• Preparing the request for information (RFI) document for bidder evaluation
• Identification of potential bidders who meet the requirements (using Company vendor database, Supply market analysis, advertisement or recommendations from other teams)
• Preparation of the Request for Proposal (RFP) document
• Organizing and planning pre-bid meeting based on the queries and communication requirements from vendors
• Technical and Commercial bid evaluation of vendors
• Conducting fact-based negotiations with shortlisted bidders.
• Preparation of Note for Approval (NFA) for selected bidder (vendor) and obtaining required approvals as per SOA
• Support Project team in Procurement of Materials as per scope within time and budget.
• Should Have Experience in SAP Hana Purchase Module. Also Fluent with the T codes and delivery system generated reports.
• Coordinate with new identified vendors to send information/ documents in predefined forms for evaluation
• Prepare vendor evaluation criteria for the category in consultation with quality, engineering and project management Team.
• Supplier Visit to analyze their capacity and expending supplies as per Project requirement.
• Preparation of vendor segmentation matrix based on annual spend with the vendor and risks associated
• Preparation of vendor performance evaluation criteria and frequency of evaluation

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. (MBA preferred)
• Professional with over 10+ years of in procurement, specifically with cable, conductor, or Metal industry
