Job summary

Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) in Bengaluru is seeking a Billing Engineer with 6–13 years of experience in mechanical MEP projects. The role focuses on BOQ/quantity take-offs, RA and final billing, subcontractor/vendor bill validation, rate analysis and cost control, with exposure to ERP/SAP environments in a green-field plant setup.

Candidate must have BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and PMO/PMC exposure; experience with JLL or Cushman & Wakefield-like firms is advantageous.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Full-time).
• 6 to 13 years of experience in billing/planning for large projects.
• Green Field Project Set Up experience is required.
• Experience in PMC environments (JLL, Cushman & Wakefield, Knight Frank, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review BOQ and Quantity Take-offs from architectural and MEP/Civil drawings to extract quantities and prepare Bill of Quantities.
• Draft and process Running Account (RA) bills, final bills, and joint measurements with vendors/consultants.
• Verify, certify, and process back-to-back contractor and MEP vendor bills per approved work orders.
• Identify extra items, analyze deviations, and prepare documentation for change orders or variations.
• Conduct periodic material reconciliations for major MEP materials (pipes, cables, fittings, equipment).
• Monitor project budget utilization and support internal or external commercial audits.

Exide Energy Solutions Ltd is setting up India's first Giga plant to manufacture Lithium Ion Cells in Bengaluru. Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Billing and Planning in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company’s goal at the Devanahalli, Bangalore Location.

Job Location: Devanahalli, Bangalore Rural

Eligibility: This position is open only to Bachelor's graduates in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates with a Diploma or qualifications in other disciplines are not eligible to apply.

Key Responsibilities for Billing Engineer:

• BOQ & Quantity Take-offs: Review architectural and MEP & Civil drawings (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, civil) to extract precise quantities and prepare Bill of Quantities.
• RA Bill Preparation: Draft and process monthly Running Account (RA) bills, final bills, and joint measurements with Vendor and consultants/contract.
• Subcontractor/Vendor Billing: Verify, certify, and process back-to-back contractor and MEP vendor bills as per approved work orders.
• Rate Analysis & Variations: Identify extra items, analyze deviations, and prepare documentation for change orders or cost variations.
• Material Reconciliation: Conduct periodic reconciliation statements for major MEP materials (pipes, cables, fittings, equipment).
• Cost Tracking & Audits: Monitor project budget utilization and support internal or external commercial audits.

Essential Skills to List

• Technical Knowledge: MEP systems understanding (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting), contract terms, and valuation.
• Software Proficiency: MS Excel (Advanced), AutoCAD, ERP / SAP systems (Project Systems or MM modules).
• Core Competencies: Quantity surveying, rate analysis, joint measurements, and reconciliation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BE / B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering Graduate, Full time. Exp 6 to 13 years
• Must have Green Field Project Set Up experience.
• Experience in PMC like M/s JLL, M/s Cushman, M/s Knight frank etc will be required.
