Job summary

The role requires expertise in MEP billing, BOQ, rate analysis, and SAP, with extensive experience in high-rise developments and complex EPC contracts.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Engineering is required.
• 15-22 years of experience in MEP billing and contract management.
• Experience with high-rise building projects and large-value EPC works.
• Strong SAP knowledge and BOQ/rate analysis expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and certify Contractor and Subcontractor RA Bills.
• Prepare and submit Client Bills per contract terms and milestones.
• Review MEP work measurements and quantities for certification.
• Monitor billing progress and ensure timely payments.
• Handle final bills, reconciliation statements, and account closures.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams for approvals and certifications.
• Maintain SAP-based billing trackers and MIS reports.

Job Description: MEP Billing Lead

Location: Mumbai

We are seeking an experienced MEP Billing Lead to manage end-to-end billing, contract administration, claims management, and commercial activities for large-scale high-rise building projects. The candidate should possess strong expertise in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) billing, contractor and subcontractor bill certification, client billing, variation orders, claims management, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, SAP, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Commercial Management

• Preparation, verification, and certification of Contractor and Subcontractor RA Bills.
• Preparation and submission of Client Bills as per contract terms and milestones.
• Review and certification of MEP work measurements and executed quantities.
• Monitoring billing progress and ensuring timely submission and payment realization.
• Handling final bills, reconciliation statements, and account closures.

MEP Quantity & BOQ Management

• Preparation, review, and validation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for MEP works.
• Quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.
• Rate analysis and cost estimation for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, HVAC, and Maintenance works.
• Identification and tracking of quantity deviations and commercial implications.

Variations & Claims Management

• Identification, preparation, and submission of Variation Orders (VOs).
• Preparation and management of contractual claims, extension of time claims, and additional scope claims.
• Commercial evaluation of variations and extra item works.
• Coordination with clients, consultants, and project teams for approvals and certifications.

Contract Administration

• Interpretation and administration of EPC and construction contracts.
• Monitoring contractual obligations, payment terms, and compliance requirements.
• Management of work orders, LOAs, amendments, and contractual correspondence.
• Support procurement and project teams on commercial and contractual matters.

SAP & Reporting

• Processing billing and commercial transactions through SAP.
• Maintaining billing trackers, payment status reports, claims logs, and variation registers.
• Preparation of MIS reports and commercial dashboards for management review.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, finance, and project execution teams.
• Resolve billing and contractual disputes through effective negotiation and documentation.
