Job Title: Asset Controller

Location: PAN India (willing to relocate to Dubai)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic IT Asset Controller to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets across the organization. The role focuses on asset tracking, license compliance, cost optimization, vendor coordination, and supporting ITAM/CMDB practices. The ideal candidate ensures that hardware and software assets are accurately recorded, effectively utilized, and aligned with business and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets (procurement, deployment, utilization, maintenance, and retirement).
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and peripheral assets using an ITAM tool (e.g., ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Lansweeper).
• Ensure license compliance and manage software entitlements and renewals.
• Track asset movement across locations, users, and departments with proper documentation and approvals.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors for hardware/software sourcing, delivery, and warranty support.
• Support internal and external audits by providing asset data, reports, and compliance evidence.
• Integrate asset management practices with ITSM/CMDB and change management processes.
• Analyze asset utilization and recommend cost-saving measures or lifecycle upgrades.
• Implement asset tagging, labeling, and disposal policies in line with security and environmental standards.

Required Skills And Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in IT asset management or related IT operations roles.
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software asset lifecycle, inventory control, and licensing.
• Hands-on experience with ITAM tools and integrations with ITSM platforms.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework, especially SACM (Service Asset and Configuration Management).
• Understanding of procurement processes, vendor contracts, and license models (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, VMware).
