Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Apprentice to support the recruitment team in attracting and engaging talent. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in recruitment, candidate engagement, interview coordination, and talent acquisition processes while working closely with experienced recruiters and hiring managers.
The successful candidate will be eager to learn, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate an interest in developing a career in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Support recruiters in understanding hiring requirements for open positions.
- Assist in sourcing candidates through job boards, social media platforms, employee referrals, and internal databases.
- Review resumes and help identify candidates who match job requirements.
- Support candidate screening activities, including scheduling initial calls and maintaining candidate records.
- Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates, recruiters, hiring managers, and interview coordinators.
- Maintain accurate candidate information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
- Assist in creating and posting job advertisements on various recruitment platforms.
- Support candidate communication throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Partner with Recruitment Operations and Administration teams to track offer and background verification progress.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies, data privacy requirements, and GDPR guidelines.
- Prepare recruitment reports, trackers, and other administrative documentation as required.
- Participate in team projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the Talent Acquisition function.
Skills, Capabilities & Attributes
- Strong interest in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Basic understanding of recruitment and selection processes is desirable.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proactive, eager to learn, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Good time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications Required
- MBA/MSW (HR)/Psychology candidates may also apply.
- Basic knowledge of recruitment practices and HR processes is desirable.
- Familiarity with job portals, social media platforms, or ATS tools is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
