Job summary

Altraize in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced application engineer to extend technical support for sales and customers, handle seal related inquiries, and manage projects within the oil & gas sector.

The candidate will study engineering requests, select seals, prepare proposals, and follow up for approvals, while supporting proto development and failure analysis with experts. A customer-focused, technically proficient professional is sought.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-7 years experience in Oil & Gas, OEM Sales.
• Strong experience in application engineering & design with customers.
• Familiar with CRM Software.
• Knowledge in seals, Hydraulics and Pneumatics Systems.
• Process knowledge of Oil & Gas segment.
• Knowledge on Rubber/Plastics products.
• Excellent customer focus and understanding of total customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Study the EAR (Engineering action request), customer drawing/technical specification.
• Seal selection and make the proposal drawing for potential customers.
• Follow up on proposal with customer for approval etc.
• During proto development, to support the seal installation.
• Study & find out possible reasons for seal failure; sending the failure analysis report with guidance from experts.
• Understand Customer Technical training.
• Visiting the customers along with CSR as and when required.
• To handle the projects & maintaining the project report.
• Keep track of customer & supplier drawings, standards, quotes etc.
• Participate in promotional activities like exhibition, technical seminars etc.
• Promote new seals in our customer application.
• Process knowledge of Oil & Gas Segment.

understanding to respond to customers' requests to safeguard existing business.

Education and Experience

BE in Mechanical Engineering

Exp in Oil & Gas, & OEM Sales with 5-7 Years

Strong work experience in application engineering & design with respective customers

• Strong Knowledge on Business Sales and Marketing Practices
• Knowledge in seals, Hydraulics and Pneumatics Systems Preferred
• Process knowledge of Oil & Gas segment.
• Knowledge on Rubber/Plastics products
