Job summary

Experis is seeking an Applications Engineer – Gas Seal Systems in Pune with 5+ years of relevant industry experience. You will manage techno-commercial activities, handle system design, equipment sizing, and documentation while ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

You will coordinate with customers, EPCs, and OEMs, develop PFDs/P&IDs, and prepare datasheets and control narratives. Proficiency in CAD and plant instrumentation is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in gas seal systems, oil & gas, or related equipment.
• Graduate in Instrumentation Engineering from a reputed university.
• Knowledge of API 682/API 614/API 692 is a plus.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and instrument datasheets.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Applications Engineer – Gas Seal Systems with 5+ years of relevant industry experience to manage techno-commercial activities related to Gas Seal Support Systems. The role involves application engineering, system design, equipment selection, engineering documentation, technical reviews, and customer coordination while ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all techno-commercial activities related to Gas Seal Support Systems.
• Analyze customer and project specifications.
• Select instrumentation, valves, filters, fluid control system products, and related ancillaries.
• Perform filter and seal support system sizing for various applications.
• Coordinate with sub-vendors and COEs for technical clarifications and cost optimization.
• Prepare technical quotations and proposals.
• Develop engineering processes, procedures, documentation, and knowledge repositories.
• Prepare P&IDs, GADs, and BOMs.
• Prepare datasheets for instruments, valves, filters, separators, seal gas heaters, seal gas boosters, electrical and instrumentation control modules, and perform their selection and sizing.
• Prepare instrument hookup drawings.
• Develop electrical wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and cause & effect diagrams.
• Prepare control narratives.
• Prepare documentation index for MDR, SDRL, and VDRL.
• Prepare Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Prepare Installation, Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations.
• Participate in and manage technical review meetings with customers, EPCs, and OEMs.
• Review supplier quotations and perform technical evaluations.
• Compile complete engineering documentation and release it for manufacturing.

Required Skills & Experience

Industry Experience

• Hands-on experience in Mechanical Seal Support Systems, Oil & Gas Filter Engineering, Seal Gas Systems, Fuel Gas Conditioning Systems, or Gas Processing Equipment.
• Application knowledge of API Plans for pump seal systems, lube oil consoles, oil lubrication systems, pre-jacking systems, HP-LP systems, and filtration units used in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, and Steel industries.
• Strong knowledge of P&ID and Instrumentation & Control engineering.
• Experience in selection and sizing of flow, level, pressure, and temperature instruments.
• Working knowledge of DCS and PLC systems.
• Hands-on experience in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, and instrument datasheets as per global standards and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation requirements for Hazardous Area Classification and Mechanical Protection.
• Knowledge of API 682, API 614, and API 692 is an added advantage.
• Experience with Solid Edge 3D CAD automation projects and CAD programming is an added advantage.
• Ability to develop complex 3D CAD models and CAD customization is preferred.
