Job summary

Zodiac HR Consultants Kandivali (West), Mumbai invites applications for an Air Import Pricing Executive. The role demands 3+ years in logistics and freight forwarding with a focus on air import pricing, rate negotiations, and customer quotations.

You will liaise with airlines, GSA, co-loaders and overseas agents to obtain competitive rates, prepare rate sheets, and support sales. Interview mode is F2F; working day 6, 2nd Saturday off.

Qualifications

• Experience in Air Import Pricing / Freight Forwarding / Logistics.
• Knowledge of air freight surcharges and destination charges.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle Air Import Pricing for import shipments.
• Obtain and negotiate competitive air freight rates from airlines, GSA, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
• Prepare and share quotations for air import shipments based on customer requirements.
• Coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, and service providers for freight rates and service details.
• Analyze and compare air freight rates, transit times, routing options, and service levels.
• Maintain updated records of air freight rates, fuel surcharges, security charges, terminal charges, and other applicable costs.
• Prepare rate sheets and pricing proposals for the sales and business development teams.
• Provide timely pricing for customer inquiries, RFQs, and spot-rate requests.
• Calculate total landed freight costs, including freight, handling, documentation, destination charges, and other applicable charges.
• Monitor rate validity and update pricing records regularly.
• Follow up with airlines, agents, and vendors for revised rates and service updates.
• Monitor market trends and airline rate movements to support competitive quotations.
• Coordinate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of booked shipments.
• Maintain proper records of quotations, approvals, and negotiated rates.
• Support the sales team with pricing information and alternative routing/service options.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in Air Import Pricing / Freight Forwarding / Logistics.
• Good knowledge of air freight rates, airline routings, and import procedures.
• Experience dealing with airlines, GSA, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
• Knowledge of air freight surcharges and destination charges.
• Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to handle multiple pricing requests and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with an international freight forwarder or logistics company will be preferred.
