Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance is seeking an Agency Manager at the Kharagpur branch. The role targets identifying and motivating potential candidates to enroll as agents, activating certified agents, and ensuring agents are aligned with product, policy, and sales processes.

The position requires 1-4 years of experience in sales and is based in a permanent, on-site capacity at the Kharagpur location within the Retail Business Group.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of required experience in sales/agency management

Responsibilities

• Identify and motivate potential candidates to enroll for becoming agents
• Activate certified agents through mobilization of minimum premium in stipulated time
• Ensure familiarization of the company’s products, policies and sales processes to the agents
• Identify, communicate and agree on the premium targets with agents on various class of business
• Ensure lower dormancy ratio of active vs total agents
• Maximize mobilization through regular follow-ups and strengthening of relationships with agents
• Ensure constant updating of agent’s knowledge on new products and underwriting policies
• Troubleshooting with underwriting team for policy approval, branch operations team for policy issuance, claims team for claims settlement, and finance team for timely disbursement of agent’s commission
