Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance, located in Jamshedpur, is seeking an Agency Manager to lead branch sales and agency development in the East region. The role focuses on recruiting and maintaining agents, driving premiums, and ensuring alignment with product, policy, and underwriting guidelines.

You will train agents on product features, pricing, and process compliance, monitor targets, and coordinate with underwriting, branch operations and finance to ensure timely policy issuance and commissions.

Qualifications

• Identify and motivate potential candidates to enroll as agents.
• Activate certified agents through mobilization of minimum premium within stipulated time.
• Ensure familiarization of the company’s products, policies and sales processes to the agents.
• Identify, communicate and agree on the premium targets with agents on various class of business.
• Ensure lower dormancy ratio of active vs total agents.
• Maximize mobilization through regular follow-ups & strengthening of relationships with agents.
• Ensure constant updating of agent’s knowledge on new products and underwriting policies.
