Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Water Quality Engineer to help tackle Ireland's drinking water challenges. You will contribute to projects across Ireland, from concept through to construction, focusing on water quality, resilience and operational performance.

You will collaborate with clients, engineers and specialists to develop sustainable treatment solutions and improve water infrastructure while advancing your professional growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Process Engineering or related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
Experience in drinking water treatment, water infrastructure or related projects.
Knowledge of drinking water treatment technologies and water quality objectives.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience in multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder engagement.
Passion for sustainable water solutions and protecting Ireland's water resources.

Responsibilities

Undertake and review process calculations, treatment performance assessments and optimisation studies.
Support the selection and specification of drinking water treatment technologies.
Develop practical and sustainable treatment solutions tailored to individual water sources.
Work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
Contribute to projects from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design, construction and commissioning.
