Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Engineer in our Water team to help clients solve Ireland's most complex drinking water challenges. You’ll contribute to projects that improve water quality, resilience and safe water supplies across the country, from feasibility through to commissioning.

You'll work with multidisciplinary teams and clients, applying water chemistry, process engineering and operational thinking to deliver practical, sustainable treatment solutions for diverse water sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Experience in drinking water treatment, water infrastructure or related water sector projects.
• Knowledge of drinking water treatment technologies, water quality objectives and industry best practice.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
• A passion for sustainable water solutions and protecting Ireland's water resources.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and review process calculations, treatment performance assessments and optimisation studies.
• Support the selection and specification of drinking water treatment technologies.
• Develop practical and sustainable treatment solutions tailored to individual water sources.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Contribute to projects from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design, construction and commissioning.
