Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Ireland seeks a Water Process Engineer to tackle drinking water challenges and help deliver safe, reliable water to communities across the country.

You will collaborate with engineers, clients and multidisciplinary teams from feasibility through commissioning, applying water chemistry, process engineering and operational thinking to develop sustainable treatment solutions tailored to each water source.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Experience in drinking water treatment, water infrastructure or related water sector projects.
• Knowledge of drinking water treatment technologies, water quality objectives and industry best practice.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
• A passion for sustainable water solutions and protecting Ireland's water resources.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and review process calculations, treatment performance assessments and optimisation studies.
• Support the selection and specification of drinking water treatment technologies.
• Develop practical and sustainable treatment solutions tailored to individual water sources.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Contribute to projects from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design, construction and commissioning.
