Qualifications

• Native Telugu speaker with full command of Telugu script and orthography.
• Experience in annotation, transcription, localization, or OCR-related work is valued.
• Character-level accuracy is essential; minor diacritics errors are a defect.
• Systematic, consistent taxonomy application across pages.

Responsibilities

• Open and check a task: verify Telugu content, legibility, and absence of personal data.
• Annotate structure by bounding regions and assigning component types and reading order indices.
• Record relationships by linking regions to their parent figures or tables.
• Transcribe faithfully, reproducing Telugu text exactly as appears, flagging illegible text.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, page dimensions, and flags for tables/handwriting.
• Review a colleague’s work as part of the end-to-end quality process.
