Job summary

Mercor in Ireland is seeking native Korean speakers for document annotation tasks. You will open tasks, ensure content is Korean, annotate structure, bind regions, assign types, and ensure reading order.

You will transcribe Hangul text faithfully, flag illegible regions, capture metadata, and undergo peer review. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to applying a consistent taxonomy.

Qualifications

• Native Korean speaker with Hangul mastery, including hanja where applicable.
• Experience in bilingual transcription, translation, or editorial work is a plus.
• Character-level accuracy matters; be precise and methodical.

Responsibilities

• Open and check a task: ensure page is Korean, legible, with real content and no personal details.
• Annotate structure: bound every meaningful region, assign component type and a reading-order index.
• Record relationships: link each region to its parent figure or table by an identifier.
• Transcribe faithfully: reproduce Hangul text exactly as it appears, flag illegible regions.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, page dimensions, and flags for tables and handwriting.
• Review a colleague's work: undergo second-expert review to ensure quality.
