Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Technical Field Sales Representative to manage and grow its customer base across Kerry, Cork and West Limerick (field-based). You will combine account management with new business development, selling aggregates, concrete, blocks, asphalt and lime.

You will work with civil engineering contractors, builders and agricultural customers, identifying opportunities to grow accounts, secure new business and coordinate deliveries with internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' field sales experience, ideally within construction materials, aggregates, concrete, quarrying or related industries.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop accounts and generate new business.
• Experience managing customer relationships, negotiating pricing and upselling opportunities.
• Confidence managing customer accounts, payment terms and credit collection.
• Good understanding of construction materials and the regional construction market.
• Experience with civil engineering contractors, builders or agricultural customers would be advantageous.
• Full, valid Irish or EU driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales across the full range of construction and building materials.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling.
• Develop new business across construction, civil engineering, agriculture and related sectors.
• Identify upcoming construction projects, infrastructure developments and tender opportunities across the region.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and manage the sales process from enquiry to completion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular site visits and meetings.
• Manage an established customer portfolio while actively developing new accounts.
• Monitor customer credit limits and payment terms in collaboration with credit control team.
• Provide high level customer service to contractors and local trade customers.
• Advise customers on product specifications and suitable material solutions.
• Liaise with internal operations, production, dispatch and quality teams to coordinate deliveries.
