Sigmar Recruitment partners with a global eye care leader to appoint a Surgical IOL Manager covering Ireland and Northern Ireland, based near Dublin. You will support private hospitals, oversee a dynamic territory, and educate surgeons on the portfolio.

This role emphasizes developing new business while strengthening key relationships, delivering technical consultancy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong medical device or medtech sales background and a track record of Irish market success.
• Ophthalmology experience is a plus– ability to engage with technical products and clinical audiences is key.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage your schedule, and operate with resilience and a results-driven focus.

Responsibilities

• Support private hospitals across Ireland and Northern Ireland, overseeing a dynamic territory centered around Dublin.
• Manage the entire product portfolio, educating and influencing surgeons in a competitive landscape.
• Balance new business development with relationship management, providing high-level technical consultancy.
• Partner with Account Managers, Tender, Pricing, and Customer Operations teams to deliver optimal solutions.
• Develop new business and achieve sales targets while maintaining key customer relationships.

About Your New Job

• As Surgical IOL Manager – Surgical Sales, you will support private hospitals across Ireland and Northern Ireland, overseeing a dynamic territory (with an ideal base around Dublin, with easy M50 access).
• Manage the entire product portfolio, educating and influencing surgeons, especially in settings where competitors are well-established.
• Balance new business development with relationship management, providing high-level technical consultancy and partnering with Account Managers, Tender, Pricing, and Customer Operations teams to deliver optimal solutions.
• Thrive as a proactive, results-driven salesperson, comfortable building relationships from scratch, adapting to challenges, and driving projects independently.
• Developing new business and achieving sales targets.
• Maintaining and growing key customer relationships (including Mater, Bons, Beacon, Knightsbridge in Belfast, etc.).
• Providing competitors feedback and upholding an excellent company image.
