Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Iona House, Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan. The role involves assisting individuals to develop independent living skills, implementing person-centred plans, and working with the care team to promote safety and wellbeing.

Applicants should have numeracy and literacy skills, strong communication, and a driving licence with access to a vehicle. Flexibility for different shifts, including sleep-ins with a €101.60 night rate, is required.

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills.
• Work with Team Leaders to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
• Promote a safe working and living environment and manage conflicts with appropriate techniques.
• Ensure medication is stored and administered per policy where necessary.
• Record and log information according to service reporting guidelines.
• Attend training and follow health & safety policies.
