Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our ROI team in Cork. You will support individuals to maintain independence and participate in person-centred plans, promoting dignified care in a compassionate environment.

This role offers flexible patterns (full-time, part-time, relief) with salaries based on 39 hours FTE and pro rata to contracted hours. In addition, you'll work with an experienced team to ensure safe, respectful care and strong collaboration with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Essential numeracy and literacy skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Desirable: experience in health and social care.

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop independent living skills per person-centred plans.
• Prepare and implement individual and group support programmes with Team Leaders.
• Promote a safe working and living environment, resolving conflicts using appropriate techniques and language.
• Ensure medication is stored and administered per policy where necessary.
• Record and log information according to reporting guidelines.
• Follow all service policies, procedures and Health & Safety training.
