Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking a Support Worker in Castlebar to deliver person-centred support services and promote independence for service users. The role involves working as part of a dedicated team, following plans, and upholding the service's values and policies.

Flexibility is required with patterns including full-time, part-time, and relief. Sleep-ins may be required with additional pay per night. Full driving licence and vehicle access are preferred for community-based duties.

Qualifications

• Essential numeracy and literacy skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Desirable: experience in health and social care.
• Must have a full valid ROI/UK/EU driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills.
• Work with Team Leaders to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
• Collaborate with other Support Workers to promote a safe working and living environment.
• Ensure medication is stored and administered per policy where required.
• Record and log information according to service reporting guidelines.
• Attend training and follow health and safety policies.
