Job summary

FRS Recruitment is seeking a Supermarket Manager for Co. Clare. The role leads store operations, ensures outstanding customer service, and drives profitability while upholding high standards of presentation and Health & Safety.

You will manage budgets, staff development, and performance targets within a collaborative management team, with opportunities for training and promotion within the Retail Group.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a positive environment for customers, suppliers, and staff.
• Ensure high store presentation standards, effective merchandising, and accurate POS management.
• Communicate and uphold company operating standards across all departments.
• Support Fresh Food Department performance alongside the Fresh Food Manager.
• Oversee stock control, ordering processes, and quarterly stocktakes.
• Manage budgets, wages, and department overheads to achieve targets.
• Lead, motivate, and develop junior management and staff through regular communication and meetings.
• Work with the management team to achieve sales, gross profit, and net profit goals.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and store-wide operational standards.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and encourage ongoing professional development.
