Job summary

Stewarts Care is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist – Staff Grade to join the CDNT6 team on a permanent basis. You will provide a full SLT service including assessment, diagnostics and intervention for children with complex needs, working with families and multidisciplinary colleagues.

The post offers professional supervision, CPD opportunities and a clear career development pathway within a respected public sector provider.

Qualifications

• Hold a qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved by the CORU Registration Board.
• Practitioners must maintain annual CORU registration.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

• Experience of working with children and adolescents with disabilities.

Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation, funded by the HSE under Section 38. We support people with intellectual disabilities through residential care, day services, independent living, job advocacy, and vocational training.

Purpose of the Post

Reporting to CDNT6 Manager the Speech and Language Therapist will on a Permanent contract The Speech and Language Therapist will join a well established SLT team on the CDNT and will be responsible for the provision of a speech and language service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention and ongoing service delivery to children with complex needs and their families.

Professional clinical supervision will be provided.

Continuous Professional Development opportunities will be provided.

Experience and Qualifications

• Hold a qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved by the Speech and Language Therapy Registration Board at CORU.
• Practitioners must maintain annual CORU registration.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Effective planning, organisational and time management skills.
• Experience of working with children and adolescents with a range of disabilities.

Salary

In line with the Department of Health consolidated pay scales, the current salary scale is Speech and Language Therapist €45,514 – €65,068 per annum (including LSI).
