Job summary

Enable Ireland in Meath is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist – Senior Grade to join our CDNT team in Dunshaughlin/Bettystown area. The post offers a permanent, full-time contract (35 hours per week) with a salary scale of €62,072 to €73,477 pro rata per annum and 33 days annual leave pro rata.

The role involves assessment and intervention across settings (clinic, preschools, schools, community), supervision, and service development within an interdisciplinary team.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Speech and Language Therapist – Senior Grade to join our team in CHO 8 Meath CDNT 4 Dunshaughlin / East Meath based in Bettystown

Contract Type: Permanent Full-time

Contract Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary Scale: €62,072 to €73,477 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum.

Overview of the Post:

Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Speech and Language Therapy services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.

The successful candidate will have
  • Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU
Qualifications and Experience
  • Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification clinical experience
  • Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
  • Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued
  • On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland
  • 3 years recent relevant post qualification experience which includes a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience of working with children with a range of disabilities / developmental delay and their families.
  • Experience of working with children aged 0 – 18 years and their families.
  • Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area
  • Post graduate training and experience in Management of FEDS Disorders
  • Relevant post graduate training specific to 0 – 18 years.
  • Experience in conducting Assessment of Need.
  • Relevant training and experience in the assessment and intervention of children with autism.
  • Experience and/or training in clinical supervision.
