Job summary

Avista is seeking a qualified Social Worker for MDT Services in Dublin to support people with intellectual disabilities in a person-centred, community-based setting.

Applicants should hold NQSW or equivalent, be CORU registered with CPD portfolio, and have experience in disability services. A full clean Irish driving licence and access to a car are desirable, with English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with disabilities in community-based settings is essential.
• Ability to work within a rights-based, person-centred framework.

Responsibilities

• Support people to live their best lives and participate in local communities.

Social Worker

MDT SERVICES, DUBLIN

• *Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.
• REF: 103159
• Hold an NQSW or equivalent
• Be registered with the Social Workers Registrar (CORU) with active CPD Portfolio
• Social work experience in the area of services for people with a disability.
• Certificates of completion for ‘Safeguarding Adults at Risk of Abuse - E-learning module’ and ‘An Introduction to Children First - E-learning module, with post graduate experience of safeguarding.
• Permit to work in Republic of Ireland
• Full clean Irish driving licence and use of a car.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation of Supported Individuals in their local communities.

Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
