Job summary

Avista Residential Services Roscrea in North Tipperary/South Offaly seeks a Care Assistant to support people with intellectual disabilities in a person-centred community setting. The role is permanent, part-time or relief, with salary €34,881–€48,434 (LSI), pro-rated for hours worked.

Essential criteria include QQI Level 5 or higher, a full clean driving licence, English proficiency, and experience with autism and behaviours of concern.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 qualification or higher equivalent comparable qualification.
• Full clean manual Irish driving licence.
• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability and of working with people who have a diagnosis of Autism and Behaviours of Concern.
• Proficiency in the English language.

• Desirable: support people to live their best lives and promote active engagement and participation of Service Users in their local communities.
• Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.
• Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
