Job summary

Avista is seeking a Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join the Children’s Disability Network Team in Dublin. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to support 0–18 year olds with complex needs and collaborate with families in a family-centered model.

The post is a specified purpose, full-time (35 hours per week), with pay subject to public sector experience and pro-rating. CORU registration, a SLT degree, 3 years’ experience and a driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years post qualification experience.
• Up to date CORU registration.
• Have Dysphagia training.
• Full clean Irish Driving licence and use a car.
• Proficiency in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Work in an interdisciplinary team providing SLT to 0–18 year olds with complex needs.
• Deliver services within the Children’s Disability Network Team: Blakestown.
• Collaborate with families in a family-centred model.

The Children and Young People’s Service within Avista provide interdisciplinary team supports, residential, family support and education services to 0-18 year old Children and Young People with complex needs and their families. This post is being recruited for the Children’s Disability Network Team:Blakestown. The successful candidate is required to work as part of an Interdisciplinary Team that provide services to 0-18 year old children and young persons with complex needs. The candidates are also required to work in partnership with families within a family centred model.

Avista has 3 Children and Young People Disability Network Teams and the candidate may be required to work across any these 3 teams if and when the need arises.
