Job summary

Avista is seeking a Care Assistant to join our person-centred, community-based services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities across Dublin. This permanent, part-time role (35 HPW) offers the chance to support people to live their best lives, in line with our values of respect, participation and inclusion.

Candidates must have QQI Level 5 in Healthcare, a full clean Irish driving licence, and proven English language proficiency, plus knowledge of New Directions and Avista's

Qualifications

• Minimum of Fully Completed FETAC/QQI level 5 in Healthcare qualification or (higher) equivalent comparable qualification.
• Full clean manual Irish driving licence. Requirement to drive service vehicles.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation in their local communities.
• Experience working within the area of intellectual disability.
• Knowledge of New Directions
• Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
