Job summary

Avista is a person-centred, rights-based organisation delivering Day, Residential and Respite supports across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary. We are seeking a Social Worker for MDT Services in Dublin to provide high quality social work support within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires NQSW or equivalent, CORU registration with active CPD, and current safeguarding training. A full Irish driving licence and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Essential: Hold an NQSW or equivalent.
• Be registered with the Social Workers Registrar (CORU) with active CPD Portfolio.
• Social work experience in the area of services for people with a disability.
• Certificates for safeguarding modules and related training.

Responsibilities

• Provide social work support within MDT services in Dublin.
• Promote person-centred, community-based inclusion for Supported Individuals.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement supports.

Education

NQSW or equivalent

REF: Essential: Hold an NQSW or equivalent Be registered with the Social Workers Registrar (CORU) with active CPD Portfolio Social work experience in the area of services for people with a disability. Certificates of completion for 'Safeguarding Adults at Risk of Abuse - E-learning module' and 'An Introduction to Children First - E-learning module, with post graduate experience of safeguarding. Permit to work in Republic of Ireland Full clean Irish driving licence and use of a car. Proficiency in the English language. Desirable: Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation of Supported Individuals in their local communities.
