Zusammenfassung

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our Transmission and Distribution team, based in the UK or Ireland. You will shape grid-scale power infrastructure from concept through energisation, producing HV substation layouts, equipment specs, and design input to major projects for utilities and developers.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience of working on HV projects.
• Experience with major utilities or developers.
• Experience as a designer or project engineer.
• Experience developing specifications for substation control systems, transformers, GIS, and AIS switchgear.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in technical report writing.
• Full driving license and access to a personal vehicle as site visits may be required.
• Chartered accreditation or working toward status.
• Ideally consultancy experience.
• Experience reviewing detailed designs & witnessing construction activities.

Aufgaben

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Produce equipment specifications for HV Plant and associated equipment.
• Provide engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Undertake an Owners' Engineer role on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.
• Provide HV design input to renewable energy projects e.g., Battery storage, Solar, Hydro and Wind generation.
• Provide professional services to clients in Ireland/UK and overseas.
• Driving excellence.
